8 Year anniversary

Someday, many years from now, we'll look back on this crazy time in our life together and wonder how we did it all...and then, those ordinary, everyday moments that we often take for granted will shimmer like stars as we recount them....I'll sit close beside you, you'll take my hand in yours. We'll look at each other and say: "I'd do it all again....and I wouldn't change a thing."

There's no one I'd rather go through life with than you.

Happy Anniversary!

This is the card Theron gave me this year. I know it is cheesy but I really liked the card selection this year. He told me that it took him a long time to pick it out. When I read it I cried. Sometimes those everyday moments get overlooked. Lately I have been so cranky dealing with a messy house, and kids. I guess I need to relax and enjoy those little moments everyday that make everything worthwhile. Theron and I need more pictures taken together!

Jonathan's 2nd Birthday

Jonathan is 2! We can hardly believe our baby is now officially going through his terrible twos. He is still obsessed with Elmo and so we indulge him of course and gave him an Elmo party. There were of course Elmo balloons, Elmo cake and an Elmo pinata! He loved being the center of attention and he really enjoyed opening his presents this year. We love this little guy!

BURNING CALORIES!

The other day Theron and I were talking about how many calories we burn when we work out. The key word in that sentence is "when." Anyways Ty overheard us talking and he asked "What does burn a calorie mean?" So Theron went into this long explanation of how a calorie is a measure of energy expenditure and so on...really boring...Later that day Ty and I were sitting on the couch just hanging out and he farted really loud and looked at me all surprised and said, "Mom, I just burned a calorie!" We started laughing and he farted again and said, "That one was two calories." So now in our family when we pass gas,toot, merdle, fart or whatever you'd like to call it we like to announce how many calories we have burned. And some of Theron's at least have to be 100 calories!

Christmas Pictures 2009

Once again I am so lucky to have a talented sister in law to take our pictures. Thanks Elyse! Jonathan was a little pill but a cute one and Ty just wanted to go eat pancakes at Matt's Big Breakfast so it was a challenge but Elyse got some great shots of the kids. I love how she captured their personalities- You can tell that Ty is more serious and Jonathan a little more fun loving.

Halloween 2009

Jonathan was a garden gnome for Halloween this year. I love the age when you can dress them up however you want and they have no say in the matter. He actually liked his pointy felt shoes and beard. My sister Dessie had some garden gnomes laying around (don't ask me why) so we took some pictures with his little buddies. I had to correct people- He is not an elf!













Ty was a Clone Trooper or is it Storm Trooper?-I am not quite sure. He loved his cheap costume and I'm glad we didn't spend anymore on it than we did. Although after we bought it he decided he wanted to be Darth Vader instead and I told him he had to stick with what we bought. He really enjoyed trick-or treating this year. In fact, I had to leave without being ready because he was out the door, ready to go.

Ty turns 4!

I can't believe that this kid is already four! Next year off to kindergarten...the real world. Ty had a fun but crazy party two weeks ago. Why didn't I realize that cupcakes with dark red frosting would be a disaster? It was fun and all the kids were really sweet. He loved it and keeps talking about his party when he turns five...we'll see if he gets one. He is maturing in some ways and then sometimes still acts like he is two. I think that this year will be a big year on becoming a big boy!
